DIY Minnie Mouse Birthday Cake With Beautiful Decoration

Ingredients
For Making A Basic Cake
  • 1 cup casted sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • sunflower/vegetable oil sufficiently
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 gram plain flour
  • egg whites sufficiently
For Making Yellow Buttercream
  • 2 sticks of room-temperature butter
  • 3 cups sifted powered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons yellow food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 2 egg whites
Instructions
The Step in Making Basic Cake
  1. The first step, you whisk the egg whites until stiff

  2. In the large bowl, add the egg yolks and sugar, then mix them. When the mix has pale yellow color, add flour, vegetable oil, and warm water. Mix them until getting nice smooth batter. At last, fold the egg whites into the batter, then stir it.

  3. Line your cake tin with baking paper and grease the side with oil or butter. Pour the batter into cake tin evenly. Bake at 185 C for 30-35 minutes or until baked throughout. Let it cool down completely before taking out and filling it.

The Step in Making Yellow Buttercream
  1. Pour the two sticks of butter in the stand mixer, then add three cups of sifted powdered sugar and two egg whites, then stir mix them on low speed, mix it up until it becomes incorporate and fluffy.

  2. Adding to the higher quality of butter is really important to get perfect buttercream. You can use the batter for buttercream frosting.

  3. Just continue the mixture, then add 2 teaspoons of yellow food coloring, then add a tablespoon of heavy cream. You can adjust the amount of cream based on how thick or thin you'd like. If you want a pink color or another color, you can add another food coloring preserves and a quarter teaspoon of red gel. 

The Step in Decorating the Cake

Then continue to type on all the black detail of her face, typing out her eyes and a little line underneath her eye. For a nice view, you can make long pretty eyelashes, then add the buttercream on her huge nose into a big oval shape. 

  8. Add a little speck of white onto her eyes and her nose. To make a nice bow, you can use pink fondant, then flatten the fondant, fold the fondant into the rectangle, then shape as like as a bow, create the fondant for two sides. After it finishes, make the long rectangle to stick the both of bow side using the icing sugar. Then, place the bow above the eyelashes between the ears.
