Today, many cake décors try to develop the cake theme both of wedding or birthday. As well as the Paw Patrol birthday cake theme, many moms use the Paw Patrol theme for their birthday cake. Here is the recipe to make paw patrol chase birthday cake
- 2 cup casted sugar
- 10 egg yolks
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- sunflower/vegetable oil sufficiently
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- egg whites sufficiently
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extra
- 2.5 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon blue food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon dark brown food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon light brown food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon black food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon pink and yellow food coloring
- Microwave Bowl
- Shortening (if needed)
The first step, crack the eggs and separate the yolks and whites until stiff. Then, mix the egg yolks and sugar smoothly. When the mixture has pale yellow color, pour the plain flour, warm water, and vegetable oil. Beat them until getting nice smooth batter. At last, add the egg whites into the batter, then stir it smoothly.
Next, prepare the cake tin about 8 - 9-inch, grease the side with butter or vegetable oil. Place the cake tin on the baking paper. Then, pour the cake batter into cake tin evenly. Bake at 365 F for 25-30 minutes or until the cake cooked. Let it cool completely before you take out.
After the cake is cool. Covering it using the white buttercream evenly. The ingredients are provided for 2 cakes, if you want to create more, you just add the amount of the ingredients.
Firstly, add the sugar and the butter, mix them smoothly. Next, pour the milk into it slowly.
Then, wait until all ingredients are incorporated, add the vanilla extra and sprinkle the pinch of salt. Stir it until subtly.
After the icing buttercream is smooth, fill it into a disposable bag. For the last, you start covering the basic cake using the white buttercream evenly.
Firstly, you should zap the marshmallows in the microwave until getting them melted, add the water. Beat it until melted and gooey. Then, mix the marshmallow and sugar. Stir gently the powdered sugar over the marshmallow using the spatula.
Keeping the powdered sugar until it is too sticky. After sticky, separate it into several parts to divide the fondant for several colors. If you will add the color, you can use the gloves to knead it, it avoids to make the colors combined.
Then, pour a little bit of shortening on your hands, and roll it well. Finally, keep it in an airtight container or ziploc bag as it will dry out. Ok! The fondant is ready to be formed that you want.
Before you are going to decorate the Paw patrol Chase birthday cake. Firstly, you have to form the chase topper. For making chase topper, you have to create the fondant before. After you have made fondant, you should prepare the fondant with different colors and sizes. The colors are blue, dark brown, light brown, black, yellow and pink fondant. The blue is the biggest size fondant and the pink one is smallest.
To make the chase body, you use the darker brown and add some powder to set up a bit faster forming the body. Prepare the bamboo skewer and some wax paper on the round board to ease forming the chase body. Then, stick the chase body on it.
Then, starting to shape chase head, add some tiles powder to some darker fondant and shape a ball. Sculpting his features with your fingers for easier. Make an outline of his eyes, nose using sculpting tool and mark to create the mouth.
Grab the lighter brown fondant, flatten it using the rolling pin. Then, drape it round the Chase face and cut around the cheeks and the eyes. Press down for a nose to make it stuck, then, grab the sculpting tool again to mark the mouth. After that, take the balling tools to press Chase's eyes. Then, try shaping the small triangle ball to make a nose. Forming the very small circle using the fondant to make chase's eyes. Then, give the 2 small black points lens for a little more dimension.
The next step, rolling some blue fondant to shape the chase's body. Make sure that the fondant is flat. Then, covering it to the brown fondant which has been stuck in the bamboo skewer. Need to know that Chase has two tones on all of his legs. Then, taking the dark brown fondant and light fondant to create Chase's legs, wrapping the bottom as a half of the disk shape and make 4 Chase's legs. After it's finished, stick the legs up in front of Chase's body and make a line using a small knife.
Now, we start covering the cake using the blue fondant. First, flatten the blue fondant using the rolling pin. Make sure that the blue fondant is going to cover the all of the basic cakes. Then, covering the icing basic cake with blue fondant and clean the surface up smoothly. Then, trim the edge of cake with a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.
Then, place the chase topper on the surface of the basic cake, add some small length fondant to make as like as the zipper. Then, form a small round brown fondant to mark Chase's neck. Next, stick Chase's head on the top and roll some black fondant, cut a long strip. Using the blue fondant, then shape Chase's hat. For making his ears, use some brown fondant, shape like a pointy triangle.
Make sure that they are nice and big ears. Then, roll out the pink fondant to add the inner ears. For the last, finish the cap off by adding a thin yellow fondant as the rope for the top of his cap. Covering a part of the top cake with black strip fondant. Then, shape the circle cutters to make Chase paw prints on the surface of the cake. Don't forget to add the yellow star fondant and place it at the bottom front of Chase topper. You can also add his tail shaped a long strip using the dark brown fondant.
